A new home for BenchWorks — the real story
If you’ve been pointed here by an old forum thread, a Pinterest pin or a YouTube description, welcome back. You’re in the right place. Here is what happened, plainly.
What happened to benchworks.be
A few years ago, the workshop slowed down its online activity and the original domain, benchworks.be, lapsed and was registered by an unrelated third party. Whatever appears at the old address today is not us, and not these plans — we have no control over it. We’d rather tell you that directly than let anyone wonder.
The designs, the manuals, the SketchUp models and the rights to all of it never went anywhere: they stayed in the workshop, where they were created.
Why we’re back
Honestly? You kept asking. Year after year, emails and forum posts kept coming from woodworkers who wanted to build an MFTC for their jobsite, an MFSC for their shop, an MFTB for their stack — and couldn’t find where to buy the plans anymore. Builds kept appearing from Pittsburgh to Toronto to London. A design that people still want to build years later deserves a proper home.
So this is it: benchworksplans.com — the official, and only, source for the plans.
What’s new (and what isn’t)
New:
- Instant automatic delivery. Pay, download, build. The manual email delivery of the old days — and the delays that came with it — are gone for good.
- Modern checkout in your currency, with VAT/sales-tax handled automatically and proper invoices for businesses.
- A site in English, French and German, with more languages to come.
- Bought on the old site and lost your files? No receipt-hunting: a returning-customer code (about half off the current edition) is yours on trust — get it here.
Unchanged:
- The plans themselves: engineered over months and real prototypes, refined through daily professional use, proven by builders in 20+ countries.
- The deal: honest plans at a fair price, everything you need to build, nothing you don’t.
One favour
If you run a site, forum thread or video that still links to the old address, updating the link to benchworksplans.com helps fellow woodworkers land in the right place — and helps this workshop more than you know. Get in touch and we’ll say thanks properly.
